Established in 2023, InpAkta: Inpaktu Sozialerako Ikerlanen Akta – Journal of Research for Social Impact publishes original papers in all fields of research, as long as the submitted research has a societal impact (see more details here). Submissions may be in English or Basque. 

InpAkta: Inpaktu Sozialerako Ikerlanen Akta – Journal of Research for Social Impact is a peer-reviewed journal. Received papers are assigned by the Chief Editors to the competent area editor, according to its area of knowledge. In this stage, the papers are evaluated considering the quality of the contribution and the societal impact. If the manuscript overcomes this phase, it will be evaluated by two external rewievers. The area editor will make the final decision based on these peer review reports.

InpAkta: Inpaktu Sozialerako Ikerlanen Akta – Journal of Research for Social Impact will publish two issues annually, starting from 2025, but once papers are accepted they will be available online, in order to make them available to the community without the need to wait until the full issue is released. We will start accepting submissions on the 21st of March 2024.

InpAkta: Inpaktu Sozialerako Ikerlanen Akta – Journal of Research for Social Impact is a non-profit editorial venture supported by the main academic and scientific institutions of the Euroregion of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Euskadi and Navarre. Free access will be provided to all our issues. Authors will retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons License.

We adhere to the Budapest definition of Open Access: free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of our articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

InpAkta: Inpaktu Sozialerako Ikerlanen Akta – Journal of Research for Social Impact does not have either article submission charges or article processing charges (APCs).
